JOB OVERVIEW

We are a small, High Quality Event Material print shop. We specialize in tickets and badges primarily but offer any type of digital printing. We are looking for a new designer and layout specialist that will fit in with our system. We will train you in layout but you must have adequate design skills to do this job correctly. We do our layout in FusionPro so experience with that would be a big plus, but it is easy to learn. We use FusionPro to add numbering, names and pictures to orders. You will do some light work creating csv files in excel for manifests but it’s like 4 of every 20 designs a week.

We work with promoters throwing events primarily and email is sufficient for 90% of the job. There are a few clients that may have rushes needed and like to talk to the designer occasionally. Our office person takes all the calls but you may have a couple transferred to you during the week. I realize the time difference and originally was thinking 9am to noon pst which would be midnight to 3ph time. However, I was thinking that sometimes we need some changes late in the day so I was thinking that it would be better to have you start at 2 or 3pm pst which would be 5 or 6 am ph time. I Would that be possible for you. Again, you will rarely speak to customers, but I would need you available for quick changes to jobs for our production staff.

Our designs are usually not too complicated and many jobs come in print ready so you just have to lay them out in our template. Simple is usually better with people.

Part of the job will include banners created for social media and website campaigns. (ex: 15% halloween or 20% christmas special). You won’t need to manage our SM but we will need graphics designed fairly regularly. If you do have any experience in SEO maybe we can pay you a little more to help with that. We use filezilla ftp for our proofing so you will do a little with FTP uploading but we will show you that as well.

Main Points
We are open 9 to 5 Arizona time which alternates between PST and MST. I realize that would be midnight to 7am in the Philippines but this job occasionally requires answering and making of phone calls to customers to verify design information and give statuses of orders. To compromise, I was thinking we could tell our customers our designer doesn’t come in until 2pm (5am ph time) or 3pm (6am ph time)

We use a remote desktop to work on our production computer. I will be teaching you FusionPro and how to make csv manifests so you can build jobs with numbering, names and Upgrade to see actual info is fairly easy and I will be available if you need help.
If you have mail chimp,SEO or social media experience beyond designing banners and can help us with online sales, I am willing to pay you extra monthly
You will have me and an office manager, Bonnie giving you tasks and direction. You must be a team player, able to work with others and prompt with responses to us and customers. You can use email for most of your customer response as long as you keep in touch with the customer.
You will be preparing orders for print and sending them to production. Occasionally if something is printing wrong, has error in file or images to big/small, our production manager, Milo will let you know. When this happens, we don't worry about fault, just fix/remake the file. He is out last line of quality defense, so you will need to be able to take direction and occasional criticism.

You will be cropping out some players from a picture and using them to create a ticket and badge. I will send you the email and images as if a customer sent them and compare you to what we did. This was a real order from last Upgrade to see actual infotails will be sent if you accept.
