Product Development Manager

We are looking for a driven person who has strong project management skills, an eye for design, experience working with factories in China and other Asian countries and an understanding of product economics.

Our product development manager will be responsible for the entire process from product selection to development to launch. They will be responsible for generating ideas, researching the competitive landscape on amazon, determining if the product is profitable or not and then sourcing.

As a part of sourcing they will be responsible for identifying supplier options across the world and putting them through a process to determine the best fit for quality, reliability and price. They will negotiate prices, terms, and ultimately assist in the design of the product. We don’t sell generic items, so this will involve unique features or a unique appearance, packaging, naming and more.

Finally, the development manager will be responsible to build out the amazon listing, coordinate photography and graphic design and ultimately lead the launch process, working with our advertising and social media team for the success of the product.

Primary duties:
Product research - find and evaluate new product options
Assess the competitive landscape
Determine product economics
Product Sourcing and Design
Find and manage factory relationships
Negotiate product pricing and payment terms
Lead design process for unique features, design and packaging
Manage the listing build out
Coordinate product photography / graphic design
Determine keywords and build titles, bullets, description
Lead launch process
Ensure PPC, external ads, email launches and additional key items are done in order to ensure product success
