THE ROLE

EGA is looking for a talented Web Developer with Shopify Plus experience to manage our direct-to-consumer (DTC) website, Upgrade to see actual info, and partner with teams across the company to implement new technologies and optimize our tech stack.

The Shopify Web Developer shall:

• Translate requirements and mockups into fully functioning websites using HTML/CSS/JS/Liquid;

• Lead technical projects that will allow EGA to provide a distinctive, best-in-class online experience for our customers;

• Serve as day-to-day owner of EGA's Shopify Plus website platform, executing front- and back-end improvements both independently and in coordination with third-party agency or freelance developers;

• Work with EGA marketing and operations teams to understand business requirements, and translate them into a long-term product Upgrade to see actual infoliver projects on-time, and with flawless execution;

• Proactively look for opportunities to improve the Upgrade to see actual info shopping journey, with the objective of continuously improving site conversion rates and repeat visits;

• Keep internal stakeholders apprised of website performance and product roadmap;

• Quickly resolve website performance issues, e.g. outages and bugs; and

• Manage other freelance or agency developers.


THE REQUIREMENTS

• Graduate of BS Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or other related courses from a reputable university; a Master’s Degree is a definite advantage.

• Preferably with Shopify Expert accreditation;

• At least 2 years experience with Shopify and/or Shopify Plus web development, including the following:

• Implementing and debugging 3rd party Shopify apps;
• Working independently on front-end and back-end development within Shopify;
• Building, launching, and maintaining customized Shopify stores;
• Using Shopify’s theming system and Liquid templating language;
• Using Shopify’s object/properties and Metafields;
• Working with 3rd party services and APIs for Shopify;
• Developing native Shopify apps;
• Building and maintaining sites map;
• 3rd Party App Integration; Integration of CMS.

• Experience using the following:

• Shopify Liquid Development
• Slate Shopify
• Git; Github workflow
• HTML5
• SCSS / Sass
• CSS3
• jQuery
• Modern Javascript frameworks
• TypeScripts, AJAX, and REST APIs
• SEO/SEM
• Code deployment best practices and version control

• Working knowledge of the following is a Plus:

• Ruby on Rails
• Woocommerce
• Vue JS
• Google Analytics; Google Tag Manager
• Klaviyo for coding marketing emails

• Other qualifications:

• Understanding of how e-commerce websites should work;

• Care deeply about best practices, standards, and excellent performance;

• Strong problem-solving abilities and comprehension of greater business objectives;

• Deep appreciation for, and understanding of good web design;

• Able to execute a long-term product roadmap, while also maintaining the flexibility to accommodate short-term business imperatives;

• Enjoy collaborating with partners in marketing and operations to translate business requirements into product improvements;

WHAT WE OFFER

• Starting Monthly Basic Salary of Php 40,000.00;
• Monthly Basic Salary increased to Php 50,000.00 after 6 months;
• Monthly meal allowance of Php 2,500.00;
• Monthly transportation allowance of Php 2,500.00;
• Monthly allowance of Php 3,000.00 for voluntary contribution to SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-Ibig;
• Monthly medical allowance of Php 2,000.00;
• Paid regular and special PH Holidays;
• 13th month pay / Christmas Bonus;
• 15 days Vacation Leave plus 2 additional incentive-based day leave;
• 15 days Sick leave plus 1 additional incentive-based day leave;
• WeWork style co-working space provided (located in Greenbelt, Makati City);
• Flexible work arrangement – need to complete 8 hours per work day;
• Work Schedule – PH time: Monday – Friday;
• Monthly salary is paid every 15th and end of the month; deposited to employee’s bank account;
• Opportunity to handle a bigger role as a Project Team Lead;
• Time Doctor App is required to monitor productivity / hours worked; and
• 90 days probationary period.
