The Company:
Missing Piece is a family run business in the start-up stage, based in the popular tourist town of Ardara, Co. Donegal, Ireland. We make beautiful personalised wooden crafts which you can check out here. Missing Piece grew from the success of what was originally a side project. The founder and owner Leonard Breslin has over 30 years of experience in creating handmade wooden goods and furniture, he is the Head of Production and Lead Creative. There is one employee who is the Head of Business Development and fulfils the digital marketing role at present.

The opportunity:
As a start-up business we are looking to employ a Head of Online Sales & Digital Marketing on a full time, freelance basis. The role is ideal for someone with experience who is looking to take on the challenge of moulding a promising company’s marketing future, and setting up their own goals in line with Missing Piece’s overall strategy. The successful applicant will report to the Head of Business Development.

Role & Responsibilities:
The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering fast and powerful sales growth via online channels, based on a well organised marketing strategy, while utilising digital marketing techniques. The following breakdown lists the areas of responsibility the successful applicant will hold:
• Online Sales: Drive online sales utilising a number of different resources.

• Social media: Devise, produce and manage social media posts and paid campaigns under a well organised social media strategy. Achieve cost effective reach with paid advertisements. Track and analyse campaigns, and produce frequent reports to explain their progress. Execute this on our social media accounts. The overarching goal of the social media strategy is firstly to increase sales, secondly engage new customers, thirdly remain relevant and present Upgrade to see actual info addition explore new social media opportunities on other platforms on which we currently do not have a presence.

• Website & Search: Manage, optimise, and add to the content, capabilities and visibility of our Upgrade to see actual infoO, database management, website coding, analytical tracking/analysis, organic traffic growth and conversions.

• Ecommerce Platforms: Manage and optimise external ecommerce platforms like Etsy to further drive sales growth.

• Marketing: Plan, manage, execute and review: social media, AdWords, email, and other types of marketing in consultation with the business team.

• Graphics & Content Creation: Plan, lead and create content for media use, edit content in post-production for social media, our website, or its intended purpose.


What success looks like:
Your accumulated efforts from the above listed areas increase sales, hitting or exceeding targets set. Return on marketing spend turns a profit, hitting or exceeding targets set.
You work in advance of future content, and produce reports for past content showing the connection between marketing spend/activities and sales impact/growth.
You have a strong relationship with other members of the Missing Piece team, and feel supported. You feel challenged and excited to develop your skills and capabilities with Upgrade to see actual infocation & Qualifications:
• Fluent written and spoken English is essential
• At least 2 years Digital Marketing experience
• A degree in Digital Marketing is desirable but not essential
Skills & Abilities:
• Experience in social media management, content creation.
• Experience in creating, testing and optimising paid advertising on social media.
• Ability to analyse and review social media results and implement change.
• Experience, knowledge, and skills to implement SEO strategy essential.
• Ability to produce reports on campaign performance and return on spend vital.
• Trustworthy, diligent, logical thinker who will take initiative.
• Excellent time management, independent working skills.
• Confidence to communicate and work in a team necessary.
Good to Have:
• Graphic design competence in Photoshop and Illustrator.

Wage & Working Hours:
This is Full time position on a free-lance basis. Ways of working will be discussed with successful applicants.
Wage is PHP 25,000/€400p/m + 5% commission on online sales.
