Finance / Accounting Director (Manager) - Senior Leadership role

We are looking for a financial / accounting manager to join CommerceLabs. You’ll be tasked with building a financial process for the company. You'll be be working on a small team so there is a need to be able to work autonomously and with little supervision. This is a remote work-from-home position, and a majority of our team is distributed all around the world.

As our financial manager, you’ll have the opportunity to work extremely closely with the founders. This role is incredibly collaborative and multi-faceted; you’ll be required to constantly learn on the job and ultimately contribute to our scrappy, fast-paced team. We’re looking for someone who is extremely resourceful and enjoys figuring things out on the fly.

Job Description:
- Collaborate with product development & operations to develop capital forecasts and budgets
- Oversee all accounting related tasks including general ledger, revenue recognition, AR/AP, cash reconciliation and month close with the help of consultants
- Prepare, consolidate and report financial analysis to the founders
- Proactively identify opportunities for cost reductions and efficiency improvements
- Hire and manage a team that will replace our outside bookkeepers

Requirements:
3+ years in finance and / or accounting role
MBA or CPA preferred
Known as an excel ninja - we will test you
Act with the mentality of an owner, not an renter
Ability to drive strategic initiatives with minimal direction and little oversight on a day-to-day basis
Ability to prioritize multiple projects without compromising your work quality
