JOB OVERVIEW

Job Description/Primary Responsibilities:

We are seeking a highly conceptual Senior Art Director with strong design skills to develop innovative creative concepts into finished advertising campaigns for our key agency client accounts. Candidates must be proficient with Adobe Creative Suite. A portfolio of integrated campaigns and ideas that are brand-building, extraordinary and memorable across both digital and traditional platforms is required. A Bachelors degree or equivalent in Advertising, Design, Communication is required and portfolio school experience is a plus.

The Senior Art Director must be able to work both independently and in a team to come up with a range of ideas and executions for each project. Must also be able to come up with ideas that work across different platforms in unexpected ways. Their resume should show experience with websites (that scale from desktop to mobile platforms), banners, rich media. Experience with social media campaigns is a must. Candidate must be able to work productively and harmoniously with Copywriter, Account Manager, Strategist, Web Developer, Producer, and others who share the responsibility on the given assignment. He or she must also participate in and contribute to the new business activities of the agency. The ability to communicate ideas is imperative.

The Senior Art Director must influence innovative solutions and compile presentations of creative concepts, providing strong recommendation and guidance as to the most appropriate executions. The Senior Art Director must also keep abreast of current trends and the latest technological advances.

Specific responsibilities include:

· Understanding the client’s business, creating and defending work based on agreed upon strategy

· Concepting with Copywriter to come up with fresh and innovative ideas

· Taking direction and improving the work based on it

· Paying attention to detail

· Having an awareness of U.S. popular culture, other advertising, and the world at large

Organizational Structure:

The Senior Art Director reports to the Creative Director
