Gerry Robert, one of the world’s most respected international best-selling author and publisher is expanding his HR team. This is the world’s fastest growing entrepreneurial book publishing company and we are looking for team members who are exceptional.

We are looking for an HR Specialist to monitor all Human Resources functions. To be successful in this role, you should have a good understanding of the full recruitment cycle and must have at least one year experience working as an HR Specialist. Ultimately, you will foster a healthy workplace by ensuring our HR procedures run smoothly at all times.

Responsibilities:

Develop job descriptions and develop criteria for ideal candidates
Recruit, screen and interview candidates; check references and perform background checks
Make hiring decisions
Prepare and review all new hire documents and other materials useful in training/orientation of new recruits
Organize and run orientation sessions
Update records with new hire information and/or changes in employment status
Implement team training and development plans
Plan annual performance review sessions
Maintain proper records of HR paperwork, such as organizational charts, pay scale and performance assessment forms
Help develop the company handbook
Forecast hiring needs and ensure recruitment process runs smoothly
Develop and implement personnel policies/procedures/guidelines throughout the organization
Enforce standard for professional behavior and general work operations
Address staff concerns and respond in a timely manner
Provide recommendations on recruitment, retention and R&R programs



Requirements:

Proven work experience as an HR Specialist or HR Generalist
Familiarity with full cycle recruiting
Excellent interpersonal communication: listening, speaking and writing.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Critical thinking skills
Strong computer skills
Sound judgment
Attention to detail
High standards of ethics and confidentiality to handle sensitive information
Flexible and open to working in a dynamic work environment
