Writer / Researcher / SEO for Growing Online Publisher

We are seeking to add an experienced, full-time Writer/Researcher/SEO.
This position will begin with 2 phases.

Phase 1: We are migrating one of our current websites into Wordpress. There is quite a bit of content that needs to be moved from its current CMS (Content Management System) and into Wordpress.

The process will generally involve copying and pasting content from the old CMS into Wordpress, working with the formatting of the content in Wordpress and then previewing the new pages to make sure they look right. We will provide clear step by step instructions to simplify the process for this task.
We expect this phase will take 1-2 months of full-time focus. As soon as it’s finished we will move to phase 2.

Phase 2: Researching and writing content

During phase 1 you will learn a lot about our business and the type of content we need for our website(s).
You will be asked to research US City information and then write short articles using that information with a specific focus and format that we will provide. There are potentially hundreds of these short articles to be written.

In addition to these City focused articles, we will assign more in-depth writing assignments. These will be SEO intensive articles designed to build our brand and authority and to attract links to our websites.
This phase will be an ongoing writing assignment and could last several years.

Skills Required:
Excellent research and article writing skills
Very current understanding of SEO including link building
Wordpress for content management (no programming skills are necessary)
Facebook and Instagram - this will be a growing focus over time.
A good eye for graphics and images that work will with our brand - we will be asking you to select images from Adobe’s stock image library for use in articles, Instagram posts etc.

2. Finance and Investing
We are also in the process of launching a Personal Growth and Lifestyle blog
