Web Programmer

We are a start-up FX trading and financial consulting firm based in New York, NY. We are currently seeking a web programmer who is passionate about developing exciting consumer-facing applications, and gaining valuable software development experience.
Responsibilities:
• Help develop web application back-ends and middleware for various enterprise software projects
• Collaborate with marketing and executive team to define clear requirements, deliverables, and milestones for new projects
• Design, test, develop, and deploy production-ready applications.

• PHP and MySQL
• Amazon AWS (EC2/S3)
• Microsoft Azure
• FIX protocol
• MetaTrader4 Trading Platform

Desired skills:
• Strong understanding of software development principles and practices
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills (especially in English)
• Strong quantitative analysis ability
• Familiarity with trading, specifically forex trading or algorithmic trading, is a plus
• Contribution to open source projects is a plus
• User-interface design skills is a plus

This is a full-time, paid position with salary depending on prior work experience that we are looking to fill immediately. While we are based in New York, candidates outside of the United States will also be considered.
