JOB OVERVIEW

Job Purpose
The IT Support Engineer will be responsible for remotely maintaining the systems that allow organizations to function and communicate, both internally and externally, on a daily basis. Responsibilities may include upgrading the company’s communications infrastructure or installing a new system.


Job Accountabilities
•Timely Administration of Job Tickets to meet Client SLAs
• Installing new software
• Installing new hardware (servers, printers, computer work stations etc)
• Setting up user accounts, permissions and passwords
• Overseeing security of all systems, especially the internet
• Installing anti virus protection
• Fixing network faults
• Technical support for people using the network
• Training staff on new systems
• Day to day admin and monitoring of network use
• Planning future improvements
• Suggesting IT solutions to business problems
• Making sure all IT meets industry standards
• Assisting customer service staff
• Installing and configuring computer systems
• Diagnosing and solving hardware/software faults
• Logging customer/employee queries
•Deliver technical support and advice to clients
•Remote maintenance and support of client’s network infrastructure
•Review clients IT infrastructure and provide recommendations for improvements
•Maintain internal cloud server infrastructure and work on internal projects

Skills requirements:
• Minimum 3 years working in helpdesk for a Managed Service Provider / IT Support business
•Analytical and Solution-driven
• Highly organised with strong ability to prioritise work and work autonomously
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and move forward with the task while still ensuring high quality of work
• Ability to explain technical problems in simple terms
• Customer oriented
• In depth knowledge of the different network types
• Take ownership of issues and see it through to completion
• Excellent Communication skills (You will be taking calls from our clients)
•Great attention to detail and presentation
• Windows OS Servers, AWS, Cloud Hosting VPS, Office 365 and G Suite, Different network routers and switches, IIS and Cpanel Management etc.
