JOB OVERVIEW

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Personal Injury Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of personal injury law and be proficient in managing all phases of the personal injury case process. This role requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and a high degree of professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
Case Management: Manage personal injury cases from inception to resolution, ensuring all necessary steps are taken to move cases forward efficiently.
Client Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and answering questions regarding their cases.
Document Preparation: Draft and prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, discovery requests and responses, and settlement agreements.
Medical Records Management: Obtain, review, and organize medical records and bills. Summarize medical records and other relevant documents for attorney review.
Litigation Support: Assist attorneys with all aspects of litigation, including trial preparation, filing motions, and attending court proceedings as needed.
Research: Conduct legal research to support case preparation and strategy.
Calendar Management: Maintain and update case calendars, including deadlines for filings, court appearances, and meetings.
File Management: Organize and maintain physical and electronic case files, ensuring all documents are properly filed and easily accessible.
Communication: Liaise with clients, opposing counsel, court staff, medical providers, and insurance companies to gather information, negotiate settlements, and coordinate case activities.
Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the legal team, including scheduling appointments, managing correspondence, and handling phone calls.
Qualifications
Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field. A paralegal certificate from an accredited program is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of [X] years of experience as a paralegal in a personal injury law firm.
