Graphic Designer for Websites

We’re looking for a Graphic Designer to provide Website Designs and Website Layouts for our projects developed by our company. We’re looking for an individual with substantial knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm for web graphic design. Some of the specific duties include:

Working directly with Project Coordinators to develop initial design concepts based on detailed design specifications
Produce web layouts for interior pages to satisfy organization needs, including illustrations
Design of web page elements that contribute to user experience and interactivity including buttons, charts, diagrams, ad banners, infographics etc.
Creation of branded graphics for Social Media including Twitter, Facebook, etc.
REQUIREMENTS: KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

The candidate should have experience in graphic design and demonstrate the ability to deliver a variety of graphic design styles that meet the objectives of the design purpose. Applicants must meet the following core criteria:

Demonstrated experience with graphic design for websites
High level of proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop and Illustrator
Strong understanding of visual communication, typography, and brand development
Experience designing actionable designs including clear calls to action
Strong understanding of best practice PSD file setup for Photoshop (layers, grid structure, transparencies, pages, etc.)
A portfolio demonstrating work with the previously mentioned skills.

While technical knowledge & skills are vital to success in this position, it is also important that the candidate demonstrates the following:

Demonstrated ability for continuous learning, creativity, and problem-solving
Any of the following would be an asset, but not required.

Experience with HTML/CSS, WordPress
Experience designing for print
POSITION DETAILS

Project based or Full time, long term. We are looking for someone who wants regular, full time, long term work.
Compensation: $6 - $10/hr.
Start Date: As soon as possible
