JOB OVERVIEW

This is a full-time, remote role for an Australian startup, focusing on Social Media Content Creation and Management.
You’ll be responsible for creating content, growing our social media presence and monitoring the channels to leverage our engagement and interaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Listed below are the primary key responsibilities of this role.

Create and curate high-quality, engaging content
Develop and implement social media content calendars, ensuring timely and consistent posting of content that aligns with marketing objectives and brand guidelines.
Monitor social media channels for trends, news, and conversations relevant to our industry and audience, and leverage opportunities to engage and interact with followers.
Analyze social media metrics and performance data to track the effectiveness of content and campaigns.
Assist in responding to comments, messages, and inquiries on social media channels in a timely and professional manner, fostering positive relationships with our audience.
Proactively identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.

Qualifications & Experiences
Degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in social media management, content creation, and community engagement.
Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft compelling and concise copy for social media posts.
Proficiency in using social media management tools and analytics platforms to monitor, measure, and report on social media performance.
Creative thinking and a keen eye for design, with experience creating visual content using graphic design software or online tools.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with teaUpgrade to see actual infombers across departments.
Passion for social media and a desire to stay informed about industry trends, platform updates, and best practices.
Previous Virtual Assistant and Social Media Management experience
Project Management experience (Slack/Trello would be a bonus).
Attention to detail.
Process-driven (able to write clear and simple procedures).
Autonomous (able to work with minimum supervision)
Trustworthy (able to maintain confidentiality)

MUST-HAVES TO APPLY FOR THE ROLE
Advanced Software Skills - Proficiency in advanced graphic design software such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign). Proficiency in video editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro, would be a welcome bonus.
SEO Knowledge - Understanding of search engine optimization (SEO) principles and techniques to optimize visibility and increase organic reach.
Brand Management Experience - Experience in brand management, including maintaining brand consistency across all channels, and monitoring brand sentiment, to build a strong and cohesive presence.
A dedicated work environment that allows you to make calls/attend Zoom/Teams meetings without background noise or distractions.
