Skillset requirements and experience:

OnePointFive seeks a Social Media Coordinator with a focus on day-to-day content coordination, content creation, and community engagement, and administrative marketing skills. The aim is to grow our audience, keep them engaged by providing value, and increase digital awareness of OPF amongst target customers. The ideal candidate will be passionate about climate education, content creation, and community management, possess strong communication skills, and have a deep understanding of social media trends and best practices.

- Passion for the environment, sustainability and climate action.
- Ideally at least 2+ years of work experience or equivalent
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling and on-brand messaging for diverse audiences
- Experience with graphic design and video editing software such as Canva and Capcut
- In-depth knowledge of social media platforms (i.e. LinkedIn and Instagram), algorithms, and best practices for content creation, distribution, and engagement
- Familiarity with and/or proficiency in social media management tools and software (e.g. Metricool, Shield, Klaviyo)
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Interest in or existing familiarity with climate and sustainability topics
- Ability to work independently and in teams, efficiently and effectively remotely

Roles and responsibilities:

- Coordinate day-to-day social media operations of OnePointFive social media accounts (LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok), including content scheduling, posting, and community engagement to the appropriate channels
- Support leadership (2 accounts) on content captions, assets, and posting (LinkedIn)
- Write captivating and compelling captions that resonate with the target audience and enhance engagement.
- Monitor social media channels for trends, feedback, and cultivate engagement with our followers and social media users.
- Utilize graphic design and video editing skills to create visually appealing content using brand templates, ensuring consistency with the organization's branding guidelines.
- Attend teaUpgrade to see actual infoetings and marketing meetings to discuss progress, strategy, and optimizations to upcoming content and campaigns.
- Analyze social media performance metrics and trends using tools like Metricool and Shield Analytics, to track engagement, reach, and audience demographics
- Report to the marketing manager, and coordinator team leader(s)
