Los Angeles - IMPORT/EXPORT TRUCKING DISPATCHER

We are a trucking company based in Los Angeles and are looking for a Dispatcher with logistics experience, with a major plus if you have port drayage experience. We are looking for someone who is energetic, communicable person, has a great attitude, great patience, multi-tasking skills, problem solving skills, is a team player and is very detailed.

The person will be responsible for coordination with our clients and their inbound/outbound ocean containers and trucking companies. The main tasks will be ensuring shipping containers are pulled out and delivered back on time, creating and following container booking schedules.

Job Functions/Responsibilities:

Communicate between truck companies and our clients while maintain contact with drivers throughout the day to provide updates.
Collaborate with management to modify daily routes to effectively move the containers following container booking schedules.
Cultivate strong relationships with drivers and clients to reduce the stress that comes with last minute schedule changes.
Coordinate daily operations, container booking schedules with outsourced container hauling companies.
Answer phones in a courteous and professional manner.
Assist in other areas of the Company operations as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
Previous working experience in a US Trucking Company is a MUST!

Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines within a fast paced environment.
Strong written and oral communication skills are essential.
