Job Title: Payroll Manager
Location: Remote (Philippines)
Time: US Pacific
Workdays: Weekdays only

Summary:
The Payroll Manager oversees all aspects of payroll processing, tax registrations and other related activities for the clients that we are doing payroll for. This role involves managing payroll specialists, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintaining payroll records.

Responsibilities:

Payroll Processing: Coordinate and oversee the processing of payroll for client's employees, including salary, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and deductions.
Team Management: Lead and supervise a team of payroll specialists, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records, including employee information, tax withholding, and deductions.
Reporting: Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management, HR, and other relevant departments as required.
Systems Management: Oversee the payroll software systems, ensuring it is properly configured and updated to reflect changes in tax laws, regulations, and company policies.
Audits: Coordinate and participate in payroll audits, both internal and external, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Resolve Issues: Address payroll-related inquiries and issues from client's employees, managers, and external stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve payroll processes and procedures to increase efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
Communication: Collaborate with the Director of Operations, client contacts like the client's HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure payroll-related processes align with overall business objectives and strategies.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
At least 5 years of experience in payroll processing and management in a supervisor or manager capacity.
Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
Proficiency with payroll software and systems.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Professional payroll certifications such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is a plus.
