JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a Digital Content Specialist “DCS” to join our team. The DCS will be an integral part of a small but dynamic team, which is dedicated to advancing new approaches to brand engagement designed for the digital, networked age. The position will be responsible for managing a mature portfolio of content, websites and social media properties designed to ensure we are innovatively and progressively leading marketing initiatives for our clients.

Our digital content specialist will be regularly involved with the following: editorial and web content management; data analytics collection and analysis; social media management; support of various strategy activities; content management and curation.

You’ll be responsible for the following:
1. Planning, creating and posting original, engaging content that aligns with the client’s goals across all clients’ social media channels.
2. Posting to platforms will typically include Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIn and YouTube.
3. Maintaining content, monitoring performance, and helping develop strategies on digital media channels, including web platforms, that align with client goals.
4. Producing reports on analytics across all digital platforms.
5. Checking social accounts daily for alerts and mentions, responding accordingly.
6. Connecting followers with appropriate staff with courteous, informed, professional engagement, when needed.
7. Using project management software to coordinate with other teaUpgrade to see actual infombers on multi-faceted projects and collaborate to meet client needs.

As a Digital Content Specialist, you will manage social and digital media marketing campaigns and day-to-day activities, but you will also be expected to have or develop the following skills:

1. Ability to effectively communicate in a professional, diplomatic, empathetic, and tactful manner.
2. Ability to plan, schedule and organize tasks to achieve goals within or ahead of established time frames.
3. Proven skills in identifying issues, determining their cause, developing creative solutions and following through with implementing resolutions.
4. Ability to personally provide a high level of service to others, including building relationships and identifying needs and opportunities.
5. Proficiency in managing social media channels, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIn and YouTube.
6. Knowledge of WordPress preferred. Knowledge of a creative tool like Adobe Creative Suite including Premiere Pro, Spark and Photoshop, and Canva preferred.
7. Highly motivated individual capable of being a team player with a desire to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues, superiors, and external publics.

The right candidate for this position must be passionate about the use of the Internet, interactive media learning and social enterprise, and be prepared to work hard to promote the efforts of the client to support a demanding flow of content creation, social community management, email marketing initiatives, and reporting/analytics.

Expected Skills, Knowledge and Requirements

• Minimum two years’ experience in digital marketing and management
• Experience to include Content Management System (CMS), Email Marketing, blogs, social media and web analytics tools such as Google Analytics;
• Detail oriented with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access) computer skills
• Excellent writing and editing skills for online channels;
• Enthusiasm for web, social media and marketing trends;
• Strong project management and time management skills;
• Ability to manage and complete multiple simultaneous projects;
• Dynamic personality with the ability to shift modes of operation seamlessly;
• Ability to work irregular hours and schedules;
• Ability to analyze data to assess performance and ROI;
