JOB OVERVIEW

It’s a challenging and inspiring job for a comprehensive online academy. In Pomelo Academy, we not only provide language courses but also writing, literature, science courses to young students, to help young students develop in-depth English skills and broaden their horizons.

Responsibilities:
a) Curriculum Development:
? Develop and maintain lesson plan and instructional materials for designated curriculums.
Designated curriculums:
Language: ‘Reach Higher’, ‘Unlock’, ‘Think’.
Writing: ‘Great Writing’, ‘Write source’.
Science: ‘Science: A Closer Look’, ‘Exploring Science’.
Literature: ‘Reading Explorer’, ‘Glencoe Literature’.
? Develop and maintain curriculum guides and benchmark goals for each Key Stage.

b) Leading Learning and Teaching:
? Model lessons in classrooms on a daily/weekly basis.
? Provide Leadership, guidance and coaching to support staff in deepening pedagogical practice, and to ensure effective differentiation to meet student readiness, interest and learner profile.
? Regularly observe courses and provide instructors with direct feedback and guidance on their classes and teaching performance.

c) Leading the Organization.
? Participate in staff recruiting, interview, and performance evaluations.
? Demonstrate a strong, collaborative, and flexible leadership style.

Requirements:
? Strong command of English language and good communication skills.
? In-depth and up to date knowledge and understanding of minimum 3 designated curriculums.
Designated curriculums:
Language: ‘Reach Higher’, ‘Unlock’, ‘Think’.
Writing: ‘Great Writing’, ‘Write source’.
Science: ‘Science: A Closer Look’, ‘Exploring Science’.
Literature: ‘Reading Explorer’, ‘Glencoe Literature’.
? An excellent track record in curriculum delivery and value-added attainment.
