Responsibilities:

• Facilitate Scrum Ceremonies: Guide and conduct the Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective meetings to ensure they are productive and kept within time constraints.
• Promote Scrum and Agile Best Practices: Coach the team, Product Owner, and the broader organization on the framework, helping to implement Scrum practices effectively and efficiently.
• Remove Impediments: Identify and address barriers that impede the team’s progress and protect the team from external disruptions and distractions.
• Encourage Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of innovation and continuous development within the team. Promote self-organization and cross-functionality.
• Resolve Conflicts: Mediate through conflicts within the team to ensure a healthy working environment and team cohesion.
• Ensure Adherence to Agile Processes: Monitor the team’s adherence to Agile methodologies, promoting discipline and structure in following the agreed-upon processes.
• Shield the Team: Protect the team from interruptions during the sprint to help them maintain focus on project goals and deliverables.
• Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between the team and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and understanding of project progress and needs.

Experience:

• Proven experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar role in Agile teams for at least one year.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar Agile certification.
• Strong understanding of Scrum techniques and artifacts (definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement).
• Excellent skills in facilitating, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
• Experience with successful Agile techniques: Able to suggest innovative approaches and improvements based on reasoning and past experiences.
• Effective communication, mentoring, and coaching skills.
• Experience with software development workflows and project management tools.
