Travel Consultant (Galileo GDS Cryptic)

We are seeking a skilled Galileo GDS cryptic specialist to join our team. As a Galileo GDS cryptic specialist, you will be responsible for managing travel reservations, ticketing, and other related tasks using the Galileo Global Distribution System.

As a Travel Consultant specializing in Galileo GDS Cryptic, you will be responsible for providing exceptional travel booking services utilizing the Galileo Global Distribution System (GDS). Your role will involve understanding client requirements, recommending suitable travel options, and efficiently managing bookings while utilizing the Galileo platform's cryptic commands.

Key Responsibilities:

Engage with clients to understand their travel preferences, requirements, and budget constraints. Provide personalized travel recommendations and advice based on their needs.
Utilize Galileo GDS Cryptic commands to efficiently search, book, and manage flight reservations, hotel accommodations, car rentals, and other travel-related services. Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in all bookings.
Create detailed travel itineraries for clients, including flight schedules, hotel information, transportation arrangements, and any other relevant details. Customize itineraries to meet individual client preferences and needs.
 Utilize Galileo GDS to analyze fare options and find the best available deals for clients. Provide guidance on fare rules, restrictions, and fare comparison to help clients make informed decisions.
Provide excellent customer service throughout the booking process, including handling inquiries, resolving issues, and addressing any concerns or changes requested by clients. Ensure timely communication and support to enhance the overall client experience.
Stay updated on industry trends, airline policies, travel regulations, and destination information to provide accurate and relevant advice to clients. Continuously expand knowledge of Galileo GDS functionalities and updates.
 Actively promote additional services, upgrades, and special offers to maximize revenue opportunities. Identify potential upselling or cross-selling opportunities based on client preferences and travel patterns.

Qualifications:

Previous experience working as a Travel Consultant with proficiency in using the Galileo GDS Cryptic system.
Strong knowledge of travel industry practices, including airline ticketing, hotel reservations, and other travel-related services.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and provide exceptional customer service.
Attention to detail and accuracy in managing bookings and travel documentation.
Proficiency in using computer systems and software applications, including Galileo GDS and Microsoft Office suite.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Relevant certifications or training in travel and tourism would be advantageous.
