Senior Back End MERN Stack Developer

Job Description:

We are a digital agency with offices in Australia & UK. We are looking to grow our team in the Philippines and are looking for a Senior Back End MERN Stack Developer. You will have the option of working fully remotely, being used to daily stand-ups and stand-downs, and being excited by the chance to work with an innovative team.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced developer and a team player who has proven experience in front & back-end development. You will be organised, analytical, collaborative, detail-oriented, a thoughtful problem solver and driven.

Responsibilities:

Creating and maintaining the RESTful services with Node.js
Take a key role in the development of new features
Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code
Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications
Implementation of security and data protection
Binding UI elements to JavaScript object models
Work in a cross-functional team to deliver a complete user experience

Requirements:

10+ years of experience leading a team of developers (Please do not apply if you don't have this experience)
10+ years of Full-Stack JavaScript Experience
Experience with MERN and Azure
Proficient in Node.js and a UI framework such as React or VueCapable with HTML5 and CSS/CSS3
Must know MongoDB (and Mongoose), Express, Node.js, & React.
Knowledge of TypeScript is a huge advantage
Knowledge of unit testing libraries like Jest and Chai is optional but a big plus
Write code that is cross-platform and cross-device compatible
Have the ability to wear many hats and learn new technologies quickly
Understanding & proficiency in REST APIs
Experience with React Native, React.js will be a huge plus
Must have good communication & interpersonal skills

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent work experience. (Regular Program, no part-time or long-distance courses).
