Finance Specialist

We are seeking a resourceful individual who wants to make an impact at our company. You
would be responsible for managing and supporting our organization’s accounting and financial
performance. This position will carry a broad base of financial management (analyzing,
interpreting, implementing, monitoring, enhancing) and oversight responsibility to include
financial reporting, Accounts Payable (AP)/Accounts Receivable (AR), payroll, account
reconciliations, variance analysis, productivity/profitability analysis, and other financial activities.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
? Performs general cost accounting and other reporting duties for the organization
? Maintains the general ledger
? Codes invoices, sets up new accounts, reconciles accounts, and closes the monthly
books
? Reconciles bank accounts monthly
? Reconciles cash disbursement accounts, payroll, customer accounts, and other financial
accounts
? Manages accounts receivable collections (AR aging report)
? Verifies and/or completes payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and
ensures payments are changed to the appropriate accounts
? Ensure compliance with company, federal, and state accounting laws and regulations
? Manages the purchasing and invoicing system
? Implements, maintains and reviews payroll processing and accounting systems to
ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll
? Prepares monthly balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
? Perform other duties as assigned
? Develop and maintain timely financial reports and statements.
? Oversee budgeting, financial forecasting, and cash flow for administration, existing programs, and proposed new sites.
? Analyze financial data and performance; provide advice and guidance on future financial plans.
? Implementation of policies and procedures to ensure that financial information is secure and stored in compliance with current legislation.
? Manage financial control functions including the development of monthly management accounts and variance analysis.
? Work closely with management or executive teams to share reports and analysis findings.
? Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools, and control systems
