Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper/Controller with a specialization in syndication coordination for our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen, advanced Excel skills, and a proven track record in managing commissions, syndication payments from lenders, and reporting on investments.
Responsibilities:
- Bookkeeping and Financial Management:
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and oversee payroll processing.
Syndication Coordination:
- Coordinate syndication activities, including preparing documentation and facilitating communication between lenders and investors.
- Process syndication payments from lenders and distribute syndication payments to investors in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with syndication agreements and regulatory requirements.
Commissions Management:
Calculate and manage commission payments
Track commission structures and ensure accurate and timely disbursement.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare detailed financial reports
- Generate reports on syndication activities, providing insights into performance and projections.
- Excel Proficiency:
- Utilize advanced Excel functions for financial analysis and reporting.
- Build and maintain spreadsheets to streamline financial processes and reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in financial management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUPs, PivotTables, and complex formulas).
- Strong understanding of financial principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
