JOB OVERVIEW

The Website Developer will be instrumental in creating and maintaining multiple company websites in addition to the occasional e-commerce website with a strong emphasis on platforms using WordPress. This role involves extensive work with online payment portals like Stripe and Square and ensuring high performance and security standards are met, as reflected in Google Lighthouse scores. The successful candidate will craft functional, attractive sites that are optimized for performance, accessibility, and user engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and manage websites using WordPress, Divi, and Elementor, focusing on high-performance and effective UX/UI principles.
• Integrate blog features and functionalities.
• Implement and customize e-commerce solutions using WooCommerce, integrating with payment systems such as Stripe and Square to facilitate secure and seamless purchase and shipment processes.
• Ensure all developed sites achieve and maintain a score above 90% on Google Lighthouse by optimizing for speed, accessibility, SEO, Adwords, and best practices.
• Customize WordPress themes and plugins to meet business needs and enhance functionality.
• Conduct thorough testing of all sites to ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and advancements in web security, applying best practices to safeguard user data.
• Provide ongoing support and maintenance for websites, addressing any issues promptly to ensure continuous uptime and optimal performance.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong experience in WordPress development, including theme and plugin customization.
• Proficient in WooCommerce and familiar with integrating and configuring online payment gateways like Stripe and Square.
• Demonstrated ability to optimize website performance to achieve high scores in Google Lighthouse.
• Solid understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and PHP.
• Knowledge of web security protocols and data protection measures.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and execute tasks efficiently.
