Web Developer & Technical SEO Specialist

Full time - contract role - $1000 per month - 37.5 hours per week

We are an SEO agency and are looking for a web developer with technical SEO experience to join our team. The role will involve fixing technical SEO issues, performing technical audits, improving website speed and core web vitals, monitoring google search console for indexing issues, and some web developer related tasks such as building new pages, or publishing blogs.

Experience with the following CMS/platforms is important:
Wordpress
Shopify

Experience with the following CMS/platforms is useful but not essential:
Drupal
Hubspot
Magento

The role will include diagnosing and fixing technical SEO which will include:
Conducting technical SEO audits
Using site crawlers such as ahrefs and screaming frog
Implementing fixes to errors/issues
Improving website speed, performance, and core web vitals
Following page speed insight reports, and implementing fixes
Mobile usability issues
Indexing issues on GSC
404s
Redirection issues
Internal linking
Amongst other tasks

Experience required using tools such as:
Ahrefs
Screaming frog
Semrush
Google search console
Google analytics
Google tag manager
Rankmath
Yoast

General skills and requirements:
Attention to detail
Great communication skills
Willingness to learn and develop
Ability to QA work once completed, before handover


We are a small, friendly agency that works with a range of e-commerce clients. This role is completely remote, and the specific working hours are flexible around time zones, but require a minimum crossover of 4 hours each working day between 9am - 6pm UK time.

The role is 4.5 days per week (we work a half day on Fridays)
