NEWS REPORTER FOR EDUCATION NICHE

Work Days: Monday to Friday
Arrangement: Remote
What you’ll do:
- Pitch and write four 150-250-word news stories that are trending on the news or on social media.
- Rewrite press releases with/without the help of ChatGPT
- Upload stories on our website and our social media pages with caption to be approved first by editor. We will teach you how to upload.
- Stay updated on current events and viral news on Philippine education.
Must-haves and good-to-haves:
- Experience in news writing. This is good to have but not necessary.
- Emotional stamina to take in constructive criticisms. You will be coached by some really good journalists so take their feedback as a way to think and write better.
- Ability to determine real from fake.
- And the tenacity to find out the truth through research.
In the long-term, you could choose to be an actual journalist who will conduct exclusive face-to-face interviews, cover events and write bigger and original stories. Of course, salary increases and transpo fees would follow.
