General Accountant

JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a dedicated General Accountant who ensures that an organization’s accounting information and practices are accurately reflected. General Accountant will also be conducting audits on the accuracy of our financial information, providing assurance that accounting practices adhere to regulations, and performing general accounting entries and account reconciliations.

A. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the following tasks:

* Provide accurate, timely, and relevant recording, reporting, and analysis of financial information, and book-keeping.
* Analyse different general ledger accounts regularly.
* Performing financial recordkeeping and budget performance while protecting confidential information.
* Reviewing all financial transactions for accuracy and facilitating internal control systems.
* Checking and facilitating tax returns.
* Providing assurance about the accuracy of financial reports' information and compliance with statutory requirements.
* Assisting with the monthly and yearly closing activities of multiple countries.
* Facilitate external audits and regulatory requirements.
* Taking part in systems and process improvement initiatives.
* Identify areas for improvement and assist in implementing new accounting policies, standards, and guidelines.
* Developing and updating standard and ad-hoc reports on finance-related topics.

B. Strong Candidate’s experience and qualifications will include:

* Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
* Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting procedures
* Proficiency in Financial/Accounting and business software
* Outstanding analytical and problem-solving
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Sharp time management and organizational skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
