JOB OVERVIEW

Hi!

We’re expanding our team and looking for a reliable Marketing Assistant with a strong focus on design and social media content creation.

We have recently been through a rebrand, therefore we have a new logo, brand colours and fonts. Plus, we are increasing our social media presence and need some help getting out message out to more people via Instagram & Facebook.

The person must have solid experience with Canva, Social Media Content Creation & Video Editing.

You need to be a very good communicator in English, must have high attention to detail, reliable internet and be able to meet deadlines.

Also, this role is for a self-started who understands the importance of getting out there and growing an audience. You will work closely with the business owner to reach specific goals that we’ve agreed upon, in terms of followers and leads that we’re getting from social media.

Plus you must be happy to work with others in a small remote team.

Some of the specific tasks required of this role include:
• Create social media design templates based on branding guidelines
• Create social media images for Facebook, Instagram and other platforms based on our branding guidelines & design templates
• Create blog post images, popup images and other images needed for websites, PDF and other locations
• Optimising and upload images onto websites
• IMPORTANT – be able to create text & messages to align with branding messages to support social media images (use of chatgpt or other platforms to help is fine)
• Loading & scheduling social media content
• Video editing – including trimming videos, merging videos, adding animation, text etc
• Marketing reporting – tracking numbers and reporting back in a spreadsheet of the effectiveness of our marketing efforts
• Be familiar and be able execute Instagram strategies and trends to increase reach e.g. tagging, reels etc
• Present opportunities to further our marketing reach and audience via other marketing channels
• IMPORTANT - Be able to repurpose content (e.g. blog posts, or a PDF) to create video and social media content (I’m good at creating blog post content, but need help getting it out there to more people)
• Be able to be proactive and have confidence to ask for additional content or input that you may need
• You may need to provide instructions and feedback to other members of our team
• And other related marketing tasks

Must have experience with the following technology:
• Canva
• Instagram
• Video Editing Platform (you can choose)
• ChatGPT (to assist with content writing)
• Manychat (highly desirable)
• Creasquare for loading & scheduling (desirable but not essential)

It will be part time hours, starting with 12+hours/week with a view to becoming permanent for the right person (we also have another brand too, so my hope is we can kick some goals and be able to replicate what we’re doing with another brand).

The successful candidate will need to be able to work the 12+ hours within the hours of 10 AM – 5 PM Monday to Friday. Specific times to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Upon receiving your application, you will have a video interview with me, the business owner. From there, if you are successful to the next stage, we will hire a few people to complete a trial task to test your skills and then select one for our initial projects.
