Shopify Developer/API developer

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Shopify Developer with a strong API development skills. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of Shopify's backend architecture, be proficient in resolving technical issues, and have a knack for maintaining and optimizing websites. This role requires a meticulous problem solver who can ensure our online platform operates seamlessly and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
Identify, diagnose, and resolve backend technical issues on our Shopify website promptly.
Collaborate with the front-end development team to integrate user-facing elements with server-side Upgrade to see actual develop custom Shopify apps or plugins to enhance website functionality as needed.
Optimize website performance by analyzing and refining server response times, database queries, and overall system architecture.
Monitor website stability, security, and performance and take proactive measures to mitigate risks.
Ensure seamless integration of third-party systems, APIs, and payment gateways.
Implement and maintain data protection and security measures, including regular backups and updates.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in Shopify development and e-commerce technology.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Shopify Backend Developer or similar role, with a portfolio of past Upgrade to see actual info-depth knowledge of Shopify's backend architecture, APIs, and data management.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Ruby, Ruby on Rails, Liquid, and JavaScript.
Experience with database management, particularly within the context of e-commerce websites.
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration workflows.
Strong understanding of web security practices and experience implementing security protocols.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team environment.
Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
Prior experience with performance optimization and scalability enhancements.
Experience with app development and integration within the Shopify ecosystem is a plus.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
