Senior Accountant with AU or US experience

Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated Full Time Group Accountant to join our team. The responsibilities include AP/AR P&L and month end reports of the company. The Group Accountant will maintain a ledger to ensure effectiveness and accuracy of all accounting.

The successful candidate will help build the best practice process to streamline his workflow and systematize the business.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- CPA/CA qualification or equivalent
- Minimum of 5-8 years of proven work experience in a multi-national corporation is preferred
- Higher education industry experience is highly desirable, experience with AU or US accounts is required.
- Extensive experience with Xero, Quickbooks
- Exceptional communication and written skills.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures.
- Exceptional skills in Microsoft Office and with advanced MS Excel knowledge (familiarity with formulas, VLOOKUPs and pivot tables)
- Exceptional conceptual thinking, resourcefulness, diligence, attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

- AU (taxation and GST):
- Bank accounts reconciliation
- AR:/AR reconcile and send invoices
- Month-end tasks
- Produce monthly/Quarterly management report
- Prepare quarterly BAS and monthly IAS
- Process monthly staff payroll and quarterly Super
- Lodge monthly, half-yearly and yearly Payroll tax by each state
- Manage EMDG application process
- UK (DGBS):
- Process fortnightly payments
- Process monthly staff payroll and quarterly Super
- Month-end tasks
- Produce monthly/Quarterly management report
- US (DGBS and KUL):
- Process fortnightly payments
- Process staff payroll in Gusto
- Month-end tasks
- Produce monthly/Quarterly management report
