JOB OVERVIEW

We are currently hiring a Buyer /Supply Chain Manager to purchase inventory, arrange logistics, manage transfers to external warehouses and manage internal stocking software for products sold through wholesale and retail channels.

This role will manage restocking and replenishment for over 1,500 SKUs from 100+ vendors, and is supported by internal software tools. Balancing supply with demand while minimizing out-of-stock, overstock, and homeless inventory are key aspects of the role. Primary KPIs are out-of-stock and excess stock rates, inventory turnover, and landed costs. You will be directly involved in day-to-operations, working closely with management and fellow teaUpgrade to see actual infombers in a dynamic and fast-moving environment.

What you’ll do
• Become proficient with internal forecasting and replenishment software used by the company.
• Purchase merchandise by issuing purchase orders.
• Review and analyze best freight options for purchases, including securing and monitoring freight and logistics, and coordinating with import brokers as needed.
• Balance supply and demand while minimizing out-of-stock, overstock, and homeless inventory situations.
• Oversee and coordinate replenishment requirements for external partners and warehouses.
• Create, build, and preserve business relationships with suppliers.
• Control the purchasing budget while promoting a culture of inventory optimization and long-term savings.
• Compute, analyze, update and maintain various pricing databases including vendor pricing, fx data, landed costs, mark-up and profit margins.
• Produce weekly, monthly, and yearly data and report KPIs to management as well as internal and external teams, partners, and vendors.
• Proactively identify and resolve problems while making decisions related to balancing supply/demand, inventory levels, capacities, and customer fulfillment.
• Recommend and deliver improvements to the supply planning and supply chain execution processes.
• Work with internal teams to maintain traceability data for regulated products.
• Generate, maintain, and update various databases, including inventory management, shipping, and import costs, cash flow projections, etc.
