Job Description:

As a Web Developer at Merged Media, you will be responsible for developing high-quality, responsive websites that meet our clients' needs. You will play a key role in the entire development process, from concept to deployment, focusing on creating sites that are not only visually appealing but also performant across all devices.

Responsibilities:

-Design and implement responsive, mobile-friendly WordPress websites that prioritize speed and user experience.
-Optimize website performance for maximum speed and scalability while ensuring website functionality and standards across different browsers and devices.
-Conduct website performance tests and provide solutions to enhance website speed without compromising the user experience.
-Collaborate with the design team to ensure web design is optimized for smartphones and tablets.
-Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies related to WordPress development, responsive design, and web performance optimization.
-Provide technical support and maintenance for existing websites, including updates, backups, and troubleshooting issues.
-Work closely with clients to understand their needs, offering technical guidance and making adjustments based on feedback.

Qualifications:

-Proven experience as a Web Developer with a strong portfolio showcasing mobile-friendly, high-performance WordPress sites.
-Expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
-Solid understanding of responsive design principles and experience with front-end frameworks like Bootstrap or Foundation.
-Experience with WordPress theme and plugin development, customization, and optimization.
-Knowledge of web performance optimization techniques and tools (e.g., Google PageSpeed Insights, WebPageTest).
-Familiarity with SEO best practices and ability to implement SEO-friendly website structures.
-Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
-Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
