Remote SEO Specialist (Contract/Freelance)

Assist in day-to-day SEO & web marketing activities for our clients, under the coaching & direction of our SEO TeaUpgrade to see actual infombers & our Leadership team.

Compensation:
$8 - $15 per hour is the range for this role, depending on your experience & skills.

We expect you to work a minimum 20 hours per week in this role. You may choose your hours, they must be between 9 AM - 5 PM Central Standard Time (CST). There is an option to get more hours in the future if you are available and if we have the work available.

The Role:
We need someone with SEO experience who is ready to take on client projects, focusing on strategy planning & executing various SEO tasks (note: you won't be responsible for complex coding or directly building backlinks). It's a great position for someone who wants to use their skills in a hands-on role, helping our clients improve their online presence.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze & report on the performance of client campaigns, ensuring high-quality work across the board.
Assisting in client website architecture changes for SEO
Compiling & sorting analytics data from multiple sources
Content editing, & proofreading for readability, and adherence to SEO standards
Perform keyword research & SEO audits.
Handle technical SEO tasks, such as setting up redirects & fixing broken links.
Update meta tags, help with acquiring backlinks, & use various SEO tools for client projects.
Manage & optimize Google My Business accounts & other local SEO activities.
Prepare SEO reports on audits of client websites including, content, link profiles, & technical best practices (for example using Screaming Frog).
Review & prepare reports on competitor strategies.
SEO content generation using AI/Generative tools
Quality assurance -- double checking other teaUpgrade to see actual infomber’s work
Tracking & reporting your work in our project management system
What We're Looking For:

At least 1 year of provable SEO experience
Attention to detail
An organized approach to work, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Basic understanding of:
CSS
HTML
WordPress
Google Docs or Microsoft Office
Experience working in a remote setting
Strong communication & collaboration skills
Bonus Skills (These are not required - we won’t usually ask you do any of these listed, but it would allow you to fill in for other teaUpgrade to see actual infombers if someone is out sick or otherwise unavailable):

#1: If you have experience/expertise in the restoration industry
Ability to write Schema to capture featured snippets
Ability to set up goal tracking in google analytics
Content writing / copywriting / editing / proofreading
More advanced wordpress / website design skills -- for example building a landing page
Creating screencast videos, or anything more advanced, like making YouTube videos
Creating assets like case studies, infographics, white papers, & other digital media
Podcasting -- editing, publishing, promoting, recording
Knowledge of:
Advanced WordPress functionalities
Content creation
Google Analytics
Google Search Console
Schema
