Position Title: Video Editor (Part-Time) (10 Hours or less)

The Purpose of Prep is an educational services company that provides tutoring, test prep, and college admissions coaching to students and their families. We service students from 6th to 12th grade (Middle and High School). We offer these services in the form of online 1-on-1 and also self-paced online courses.

Position Overview:
You will be editing long-form videos (5-15 minutes) and short-form videos (15-60 seconds) for The Purpose of Prep Youtube channel and Instagram and The World Changing Books social media (World Changing Books is a company hired through us for content as well). You will need the following editing skills:

- Trim/ cut video

- Motion Graphics

- Color grading

- Transitions

- Noise Reduction

-Titles (Animated)

- Text/Subtitles

- Background Music

- Sound effects

- Find and use B-roll

- Add aesthetic overlays

- Create cinematic montages

- Zoom in/out

- Slow/ fast motion

- Green screen

- Edit multi-cam videos


This position will NOT have any editing training. Experienced editors only! You will only be trained in terms of the process of submitting videos for us and you will receive video editor notes for the first couple of videos until you get used to our editing requests. Applicants must have their own editing software: Adobe Premiere Pro only please as I will need source files.


Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Edit about 4 long-form videos per month for The Purpose of Prep Youtube channel

2. Edit about 12 short-form videos per month for THe Purpose of Prep and World Changing Books Youtube channel and Instagram
