We are looking for a talented professional to manage our accounting and financial records.
The right candidate loves keeping their finances organized and up-to-date, knows their way around a spreadsheet, is an expert at dealing with numbers, and can design/follow documentation and checklists.
In this role you will have the opportunity to achieve the following outcomes:
-You will become the subject matter expert for any activity or procedure involving the company's real estate escrow account on a day-to-day basis. By approving disbursements and matching credits and debits to corresponding entries in the escrow ledger each morning, you'll be able to bring attention to and assist with any exceptions that arise. You'll be so organized that submitting the company's monthly reconciliations on the very same day that the bank statement is released will only take a few minutes.
-You will get to design/update/maintain clearly defined procedures that other employees use when interacting with the escrow account, and you'll ensure that those procedures are published on the company's intranet for everyone to access. You'll be able to answer any escrow question that comes your way and will be able to guide employees to the relevant procedures that they should follow.
-You will have the opportunity to design and manage a robust expense reporting procedure using Expensify. You'll review employee expense reports to ensure that receipts are submitted and reports are completed in accordance with company procedures that you develop and maintain.
-You'll work with management and the company's accountants to ensure that tax preparation materials are provided to the accountants in time for taxes to be filed each quarter.
Our current software landscape includes QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, various online banking platforms, Expensify, and the real estate title-specific software Qualia.
