Platform Engineer

Duties:

• Oversee Day 2 operations for a Kubernetes-based platform
• Maintain cloud-based infrastructure (Amazon Web Services), following best practices and infrastructure as code
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with the cloud infrastructure containing multiple Kubernetes clusters
• Ensure that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
• Ensure high availability in production systems, implementing DR strategies and observability tools
• Manage software and hardware installations and upgrades

To be a good fit, you'll need experience with the following technologies:

• Kubernetes
• AWS
• Automation technologies, such as Crossplane, CDK, CI/CD pipelines
• GitOps framework, including Helm, ArgoCD and Git workflows
• Scripting languages, such as Typescript, is a plus

Requirements:

• Relevant Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Strong AWS experience
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes and Docker architecture and associated tools
• Experience with building and operating scalable Kubernetes clusters
• Experience with CI/CD systems
• Be a strong communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills
