We are looking for a collaborative Software Engineer to help us deliver our vision of a secure
marketplace for natural rubber and other software products for the natural rubber supply chain.
Reporting to the Head of Technology and part of the Engineering team, you'll enjoy this role if you
like the opportunities and challenges of working in a growing business and building extensible,
secure and performant systems using best practices across different devices such as web,
mobile and IOT and different technologies. You will play a genuinely impactful part that makes a
difference to our customers and the industry on our path towards sustainability and traceability.
You'll collaborate daily with engineering, product and commercial colleagues and help to build an
effective and creative working culture.

Our current tech stack includes, but it is not limited to: Python 3; Java, Golang, JavaScript;
TypeScript; C#; Kotlin; Swift; Ionic; Django; Laravel; .NET Framework; MSSQL; PostgreSQL; Flutter
and React-Native.

Responsibilities
? Conduct research and development for the Agridence trading platform
? Deliver production quality code based using Java. Knowledge of Micronaut, Quarkus or Spring Boot framework is a must
? Must have a current working knowledge of Java >= 3 years
? Understands concepts in programming patterns, code optimization and best practices
? Unit testing in Java
? Develop and integrate with internal and external APIs
? Must have used Quarkus, Spring Boot or Micronaut frameworks and any ORM such as Hibernate
? Having used Apache Camel for EIP is a bonus
? Knowledge of how to instrument Java applications for observability
? Must have worked on and understand concepts of micro-services
? Understands concepts in GRPC, GraphQL and certain stream processing tools such as Flink, Kinesis

Requirements
? Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent
? At least 3 - 5 years of relevant experience
? Proven work experience as a Backend Developer using Java >=3 years is a must
? Good English communication skills and ability to collaborate across different teams
? Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables
? Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, technical environment with high adaptability and flexibility
