[Webtoon- Japan based startup] Line Artist - Anatomy Position

About Tokyo Toon:
We are seeking a talented and passionate individual to join our team as a Line Artist with Anatomy strength illustrator for a Japan-based start-up company, Tokyo Toon. The company is founded by ex-Googlers and we aim to distribute content worldwide, including in the US, Japan, and other Western countries :)

Our team is composed of collaborative, passionate, and respectful illustrators from the Philippines and Japan, and as we grow, we will be more diverse and we will welcome illustrators from other countries.

As we work, we collaborate and work as a team. We promote brainstorming and encourage our illustrators to share their ideas, allowing them to try something new and discover their best skill. Our illustrators work with flexibility and with freedom. We meet every quarter for a team dinner to allow everyone to take a break from work and enjoy once in a while?

About this job:
The primary responsibility of this role is to create high-quality lineart caring anatomy of characters based on the provided storyboard. Also, this position can involve character design, and storyboard creation from text-based stories depending on the position. Depending on the company’s' needs, there might be changes in positions

1. Expected Ability for Quality
Ability to create high-quality lineart anatomy of characters based on the provided storyboard. Ability to recreate line art based on other artists' illustrations. In the creation of Webtoons, multiple line artists collaborate. Thus, the ability to match art style is necessary. Style of the work expected: Boys Love Webtoon

2. Expected Ability for Timely Delivery
Work closely with the creation team to ensure consistency of each work's style and tone.
Meet project deadlines and ensure the job is completed on time. Example: 60 Panels is expected to be done in 2-3 days.


3. Expected Ability for Team Communication
As we are a group of collaborators, we expect a timely response to the inquiries during hours. This will help the team in determining the next steps needed in the production process and be able to adapt to changes and input revisions requested.

Requirements:
Passionate about Webtoons, manga, and Japanese culture.
Open to drawing adult scenes for Boys Love webtoons
Can work 40hours per week. Working hours is relatively flexible with some possible core time
At least 20-29 years old
A team player who likes personal growth
Understanding the Webtoon anatomy of character based on the given storyboard to create high-quality captivating and seamless Lineart of anatomy.
Good English communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others.
