JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking an Accounting Manager for iHR Accountants to oversee, monitor, and evaluate daily operations. The Accounting Manager is responsible for establishing the financial status of the organization by designing and implementing information collection, analysis, verification, and reporting systems.

Responsibilities:
• Manages the accounting staff accountable for financial reporting, invoices, collections, payroll, and budget preparation.
• Help recruit and hire accounting and financial staff and evaluate their performance.
• Establishes guidelines and internal controls for accounting transactions and budget preparation.
• Supervises the development of business activity reports, financial projections, and annual budgets.
• Supervises the production of periodic financial reports and ensures compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Responsible for tax planning throughout the fiscal year; responsible for filing the annual tax return.
• Audits accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations; coordinates with external auditors and supplies information required for the annual external audit.
• Provides management with recommendations on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.
• Focuses on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations when conducting financial analysis.
• Interacting with clients, capturing requirements/work scope, and maintaining a business relationship throughout the course of business.
• Ensures local, state, and federal government requirements are met.

Qualifications:
• Proven working experience as an Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor, or Finance Manager
• Advanced computer skills in MS Office, accounting software, and databases
• Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to direct and supervise
• BS degree in Accounting or Finance

Experience:

• 7+ years experience as an Accountant / Senior Accountant
• Certified Public Accountant preferred but not required
• Masters degree holder preferred but not required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working remotely for a company in the USA on US time schedule
• Minimum of 5 to 7 years working in Accounts Payable AND Accounts Receivable, General Ledger
• Experience working in the nonprofit industry is a big plus! (preferred but not required)

Skills and Technical Knowledge:
Excellent English Language communication skills (written and spoken)
• Expert proficiency and knowledge in handling/managing General Ledger, AR, AP, and Payroll
• Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets and/or Microsoft Excel – the ability to create and manipulate PivotTables; utilize formulas like VLOOKUP and INDEX MATCH to analyze data, and use Solver functions
• Ability to produce error-free accounting reports
• Ability to quickly learn new software programs
To work alongside or supervise other accountants

Employment Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week)

Salary:
• $1100-$1300 per month
