JOB OVERVIEW

This is a permanent work-from-home position at a fast-growing e-commerce company. We are searching for a tech-savvy purchaser with a keen-eye for detail to buy various goods for our company. The purchaser's duties will include conducting market research, building a network of reliable vendors and service providers, negotiating the best contracts, inspecting deliveries. You should have stellar communication skills and display a high degree of cultural sensitivity to fill this role.

To be successful as a purchaser, you should be able to identify emerging consumer trends and have a good ability to read people. Outstanding purchasers are able to juggle multiple responsibilities at once and make important decisions in fast-paced environments.

Salary Range: $1000 - $1400 a month (depending on experience)


Day to day Position Responsibilities:
- Conducting research on potential products, vendors, and services, and comparing price and quality to ensure the best deal.
- Meeting with vendors and clients to negotiate the best contracts.
- Liaising with delivery and warehouse teams to ensure goods are received on time.
- Monitoring inventory and writing orders to refill stock.
- Updating all records of purchased products.
- Writing reports on purchases made and performing cost analyses.
- Attending and contributing to meetings with staff and other stakeholders.
- Be a part of the core team responsible for acquiring inventory for our marketplaces.
- Understand e-commerce supply chain and logistics operations.
- Evaluate existing and new vendors assigned to you.
- Maintain up to date vendor’s operations, logistics, and AP information.
- Understand item information and lookout for cost accuracy across the supply chain.
- Use critical thinking when placing purchase orders to make the best choice that drives profitability.
- Place accurate purchase orders and maintain its accuracy across the supply chain.
- Maintain transparent communication with the Purchasing and Operations team to ensure clear understanding and ownership of the purchase orders at all times.
- Control Inventory quantities from the Upgrade to see actual infont the purchase order is created all the way to the final delivery.
- Approve invoices for payment to suppliers.
- Monitor Accounts Payable to issue timely payment to Vendors.
- Provide vendors with discrepancies to ensure credit and do so within the scope of the vendor’s requirements.


Experience and Qualities we look for:

- Able to demonstrate with 3 to 4 years of Inventory purchasing experience
- Able to demonstrate with 2 to 3 years of merchandising experience
- Able to demonstrate with 2 to 3 years of category management experience
- Able to demonstrate with 2 to 3 years of procurement experience
- Retail experience or similar is preferred
- Previous experience as a supply chain manager or in a similar field
- You are hungry to learn, work, make changes and improve
- Able to demonstrate that you can be highly organized
- Proactive and able to work with little supervision
- Possess rigorous attention to detail and impeccable work ethic
- An excellent written and verbal communicator in the English language
- You’re amazing at multitasking and you prioritize effectively
- Able to work in the Eastern Standard Time Zone (UTC?05:00)
- Set up to work from home with a stable internet connection and a quiet area in order to communicate with vendors, if necessary.

- Working experience in ERP system (NetSuite)
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering or similar field
