I have graduated a bachelor degree in Computer science. Just right after my graduation, I was hired as a banquet sales assistant at Leisure Coast Resort, a 3 star hotel in our country. I have gained my professional knowledge in managing an office. After eight months, I got hired as Secretary to the President of Colegio de Dagupan.
Colegio de Dagupan is a tertiary school offering various Bachelors, Masters and Doctorate degrees. It has about 6,000 students and about 300 students and staff. I work and report directly to the President, performing several office procedures like answering telephone calls, receiving guest, receiving letters, encoding and printing significant documents, set up and maintain paper and electronic filing systems. I maintain and coordinate scheduling and manage his event calendar, I also schedule and confirm appointments for both official and personal needs. I get to work as his secretary from December 2002 to June 2005. After 2 years, my boss asked me to go back and be his secretary. Then I get to work with him from April 2007 to December 2011. My reason for leaving my fulltime job is
family for I wanted to be with them more. That period, I was able to buy a business rights of a tutorial center. It was a learning experience managing 6 staff and about 70 students. After a year, I decided to sell the business rights for my husband's additional capital for his garments manufacturing company.
It has been more than a year without a job but I do not consider myself unproductive. I write and manage my blog since 2009, www.hungrynez.com, a personal food recipe website featuring my homecooked meals, favorite recipes, my kitchen, grocery, dining and travel experiences. I also make and design fondant cakes and I sell about 2-3 cakes a week. I also get to help my husband with his business by doing sales and marketing.
I believe I have learned so much. I learn the values of commitment, loyalty, and teamwork, how to win, how to work hard, and how to balance my time and my priorities. With my full professional knowledge and desire to be productive, I am eager to apply as a Virtual Assistant.
Thank you so much.
“For years, I maxed out my hours, got burnt out, and the quality of my work would start to go down. I decided to take the leap, hire correctly, and now it frees up my time to focus on growing the business.”
