I am a registered nurse.I was into clinical research for four years. It's a multi-center clinical study based in Singapore with different sites within Asia. In Philippines, six study sites were established and in one of those study sites, I was the study coordinator. As a study coordinator, my duty is not just to enroll subjects (patients) and do follow up assessments. I am tasked to review subject's health history and current medical status and in order to do so, i need to review patient's chart and read physician's orders, listens and understands physician's verbal orders in order to transcribe patient's data into the research case report forms. Lots of medical words were encountered everyday making those very familiar to my eyes whenever i saw and read, and to my ears whenever I heard. Computer and internet is part of my daily life, so online medical transcription will not be problem.
