I gained my English skills at my primary school. It is an international school (Sunshine International School) where if you speak a single Tagalog/Bicol word, you'll have to pay one peso(1 php). And proudly, I was one of those few pupils assigned to write down the names of those who I'd caught not speaking in English.
In my first job as a radio disk jockey, I did so much talking; I spent six hours a day with half of that working hours just talking and sharing music informations all over the world thru webcast. Well, first I had to write those articles/ uncommon informations about local musicians, and as well as those in the international act before I voice out.
My second job was a senior salesman. I travelled a lot just to sell our products(canned goods). I had a 300 thousand peso quota per month. It tested my honesty handling that huge amount of money. So everyday, I had to audit my sales in Microsoft Excel -- it was my daily requirement before heading out of the office.
Lastly, I applied as a customer sales representative at US Auto Parts in Manila. After few weeks of training, I had to resign because I had to fix some personal issues.
“It definitely helped transform my business and take a significant load off for me.”
