I used to work with a telecommunications company during the start of my career.
The basic requirements of a Message Handling Specialist is the speed test and the ability to communicate with customers.
I was able to pass the above mentioned requirements and eventually hone my typing and telecommunication skills as i perform my job.
When I worked in the insurance industry, I developed the ability to write reports and data analysis.
We are required to document all of our transactions as we use to retrieve some data from time to time.
Furthermore, I also practiced having a regular communication with clients from inquiry assistance, claims processing and settlement which is similar to a virtual assistant/admin function as well as a voice account specialist function (inbound/outbound calls).
This job also covered selling company products by actual presentation and by telepone communication similar to telemarketer and cold calling function.
I acquired and developed most of my customer service skills/ability when I worked in a media company wherein I handled a section under the custmer service group which caters hundreds of employees (internal function) as well as other entities (external function) to meet/maintain the customer satisfaction.
