I have been working as an Executive Assistant to a Canadian national since 2007 when I got hired at his Call Center (which already had stopped its operations in June 2010 when all investors agreed to venture on a new industry) here in Bulacan Province, as an Agent for a few weeks and kept stepping up the ranks until finally became Vice-President for Administration, as well as managing operations, on the 5th month of my employment.
Alongside, I managed its in-house Call Center Training School holding the position of School Directress.
I was hands-on and always visible to all functional areas of the company --
from qualifying applicants, hiring staff, training, monitoring daily production and Management and Staff KPIs, practical application of our services (sales, voicemail transcription and video transcription), troubleshooting and making effective and up-to-the-minute decision-making (which is always in demand to keep up with TAT), and always spare quality time for open-discussions with my officers and staff, which is very important in building morale and good relationships within, as well as keeping control of all internal situations.
My employer and I built and organized the whole company's setup -- and my main contributions were to build its Corporate Policies and Ethics up to its well-declared implementation on every aspect of the business.
I had contributed as well to bringing in other types of businesses that were associated with the existing ones as part of its expansion in the industry borne out of affiliations and promotions we were doing.
My employer and I sit down in business meetings a lot
-- in person and/or via conference calls.
So I am very comfortable at dealing with all types of people and personalities.
I am also well-adept at organizing day-to-day schedules (personal and work related), booking trips and hotel reservations, basic banking procedures.
And of course, I am knowledgeable on creating all types of professional documents, business plan, reports and presentation, correspondence (hard copy and electronic), use of computer, MS Office applications and related softwares, internet browsing, research.
All of these very significant positions and responsibilities I was able to perform in the strictest and dignified professional bearing, which have created well-founded respect and trust between my employer and myself.
I also have created a good number of business connections because of this. I am still learning a lot of new things, I mean, other types of business industry with the help and guidance of my employer through continued exposure to all his other business dealings, and I am just very grateful and feel so lucky about it, that is why I just keep taking all those opportunities while they come.
