Profile Description

I worked as Sr. Engineer/Material Planner in Lufthansa Technik Philippines. My basic responsibilities are the following:
§ Ensures that all the tools/equipment/materials are available prior to the docking of aircraft based on the maintenance package of the customer.
§ Sourced out from the customer or aircraft OEM or 3rd party entity if the required tools/equipment/materials needed are not available due to damage during utilization, missing parts, calibration overdue, safety reasons or the like.
§ Closely monitors if the stock of material is within acceptable stock level and immediately prepare the requisition if found below the reorder level and set the criticality of the purchase depending on the requirement.
§ Ensures that the material being purchased/delivered is the exact specifications of the requirement and immediately rejects if any material (e.g. tools, equipment, class C aircraft components, aircraft consumables. aircraft materials, etc.) is found below the industry/military standard which is set by the OEM or any regulatory authority.
§ Establishes preventive maintenance program to the existing tools and equipment thus prolonging the unit’s serviceability between failures.
§ Suggested new innovative alternate products as replacement for the existing ones for lesser maintenance cost thus promoting savings for the company.
§ Formulates maintenance programs for the existing ground support equipment to maximize their utilization to support aircraft maintenance production capabilities.
§ Helps the company to achieve target net profit by establishing effective cost cutting measures, forecasting parts provisioning to avoid unnecessary delays and minimizing unbudgeted expenditures.
§ Acts as officer-in-charge during the absence of immediate superior (section manager).
I can be able to adapt to different persons in the work place as I belonged to a very large group of people in my past employment. I am also capable to work in a team. I have the ability to switch gears and can accommodate changing priorities.
I have a moderate understanding of email, word processing and spreadsheets that are common tools found in the workplace. I have also an advance understanding on hardware specifications and has advance proficiency in navigating the internet.
I have an advance ability on expressing my ideas and thoughts in a clear and concise manner, both verbally and in writing. I am also a good listener that makes me understand what is being said and respond appropriately.
When I faced a multiple task at the start of the day, I have the basic knowledge to plan and organize my day and prioritize which activities to accomplish first that will help me to be productive and efficient in the work place.
