English skills:
I am a certified TESOL instructor and well-experienced in teaching the English language to EFL learners, especially to Koreans. Being an online English teacher has been my career of choice for many years but now I'm looking in to expanding my skills in writing as I've always loved writing.
I took the IELTS back in December 2010. I have a total average band score of 7.5. I plan to take it again this December to continue my credibility. And aim a higher score, of course.
Writing skills:
I am presently an assistant editor-in-chief for a monthly newspaper in Alberta, Canada called Diaryo Filipino. I write several articles of different categories, and a fiction; and occasionally, I proofread the works of the paper's contributors. Work on this job doesn't pile up that much and I've always done work for this on weekends.

In the past, I've had opportunities where my skills in writing have been put to use: I've written proposals for events, letters to organizations and business, written scripts for mall shows, and created brochures and texts for ads.
A recent project that I worked on with sister company for Diaryo Filipino are the contents of this site >>>

Skills in graphics:
I know how to use Adobe Photoshop CS5.5 and Picnik and manipulate photos and images. When I digitize some of my own work, I would even use MS Word to get the effects that I need. My skills in graphics aren't professional but I can manage to create ads, and edit and manipulate images. Layout: I'm not an expert yet but I am quite capable in setting the contents, photos and ads of a newspaper through the use of Adobe In Design CS5.5.
Internet skills:
I know how to surf and do research online. I do a lot of my reading online about current events or do random reading on things that I'm interested about. I've posted jobs ads for the Korean online schools I've worked for and other organizations. And I'm quite able in google-ing for things that are a little hard to look for.
I know a little bit of blogging but I'm not knowledgeable on the technicalities of programming or setting it. I've looked into blogging for many years but have not gotten around to educate myself on how to maintain one and earn money from it.
Below are topics that catch my attention online for I find that this might give you an understanding on where I'm able to excel more and what I have a know-how of.
When I have time, I read about health, science, space, new gadgets, movies, actors, TV shows, entertainment, music, nature, home designs, travel blogs, food, recipes, mythology & folklore, odd news, ethics, philosophy, animation, art & culture, discoveries, environment, history...not a fan of business and political news, especially about warring nations.
I love watching videos on TED.com and stream around youtube.
As mentioned earlier, I am not familiar with how this field works but whenever I invest myself in a position where I can find growth from the challenges it presents, I make sure that I can be proud of myself for the work that I've done in the end.
