For more than fifteen long years that I have been working, I have done the whole Accounting cycle - from journal entry to financial statement preparations; this includes balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow.
I know budget preparation and analysis of variance against actual expenditures.
Government reportorial requirements like SSS, Philhealth, Pag-IBIG, PEZA, and BIR are all under Accounting and should be monitored and complied with not only on a monthly basis but also quarterly and annual to avoid penalty; this I am very much acquainted.
Treasury involves not only monitoring of collections but also audit wherein I have bee exposed for quite a significant years.
I conduct spot audit of collections and reconciliation of reported collections against passbook entries and system entries.
In one of the surprised audit that we (with my staff) conducted we were able to trace kiting of collection reports.
Have also the opportunity to lay down. establish, and monitor compliance of policies and procedures.
Just to mention that with the policies and procedures establish in one of the companies I have worked with, we were able to decrease an enormous amount of unliquidated cash advances and uncollected receivables.
