Profile Description

I have worked as a full time permanent psychology instructor in the University of San Carlos in Cebu, teaching courses related to clinical psychology (e.g., abnormal psychology, counselling and psychotherapy, etc.). I also had a private practice in Cebu City where I primarily offered general assessment, diagnostic, and counselling/psychotherapy services. Combining my masteral-level traineeship and post-masters internship along with my private practice, I have dealt with various populations having multiple and comorbid issues. I tend to operate from a cognitive-behavioral and multigenerational family systems perspective, heavily informed by cultural considerations. My master's degree from California State Polytechnic University at Pomona was in Marriage and Family Therapy, and my Doctor of Psychology degree from California Southern University was in Clinical Psychology.
