I used to work for a local BPO company that handles inbound technical support for North American customer concerns with the Linksys Routers. I did that job for six (6) months then was later hired by another local BPO company handling inbound customer concerns for a North American Financial Institution - Washington Mutual which was later bought by JP Morgan Chase. I started out as a Customer Service Representative (CSR) then later got elevated as a supervisor for a team of CSR's. That particular job lasted for about 2 years. Both job stints were full time and it was where my proficiency in communicating with North American clients improved.
